This article explores the role of comics in raising awareness and influencing attitudes about how society treats survivors of sexual violence, specifically in the Indian context. The gang rape of a young woman in New Delhi in 2012 inspired an Indian-American filmmaker to write the comic Priya’s Shakti, which was presented at the Mumbai Comicon in December 2014.
