Misogyny

Form of male violence based on an aversion to, disdain or hatred for, or the denigration or objectification of women and all that is represented by the female condition. Unlike sexism and male chauvinism, misogyny does not advocate the superiority of men over women, but rather the need for men to free themselves from female dependence and influence.
