
Teresa Iribarren
Teresa Iribarren is Full Professor of Catalan Literature at the UOC, where she directs the Bachelor’s Degree in Catalan Language and Literature. She is the principal investigator of the project Resistant Readings. An expert in contemporary Catalan literature, she is currently studying narratives of violence, focusing on critical interpretation through a gender perspective, as well as women’s writing and literary translation. Her latest published books are Narratives of violence (T. Iribarren et al. 2021) i Literatura i violències masclistes. Guia per a treballs acadèmics (T. Iribarren et al, 2023).

Ferran Adell
Ferran Adell is a professor at the Estudis d’Informàtica, Multimèdia i Telecomunicació at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and holds a PhD in Information and Network Technologies. A philosopher and IT specialist, his research focuses on three main areas: generative artificial intelligence, edutech and game-based learning, and the philosophy of technology. He is involved in various educational innovation projects and has authored numerous learning resources for higher education. He is also a permanent trainer of faculty in digital teaching competence and AI for education.

Arola Castella
PhD candidate in Humanities and Communication (UOC). Ongoing thesis on the representation of violence in the novels of Maryse Condé from the perspective of posthumanist feminism, supervised by Dr. Teresa Iribarren Donadeu. Master’s degree in Humanities: Art, Literature, and Contemporary Culture (UOC). Research sufficiency within the framework of the Political and Social Theory Program (UPF). Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology (UAB) and in Contemporary History (UB). Specialized in Maryse Condé, Francophone literature, violence, feminism, and posthumanism.

Montserrat Clua
Anthropologist and associate professor in the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. A specialist in the anthropology of the peoples of Spain, she has researched political identities in ethnic groups, nationalisms and discourses of inclusion and exclusion in Catalonia, on which she has published several works. In parallel, she has also investigated the relationship between literature and anthropology, proposing the analysis of literary works as cultural products that provide ethnographic material, especially concerning gender relations and their intersection with other elements of subalternity. She has participated in the publication Literature and Male Violence A Guide for Academic Research (T. Iribarren et al, 2023). As a researcher, she is a member of the AHCISP research group (UAB) and the founder and coordinator of the Ciutadanies research group of the Institut Català d’Antropologia (ICA).

Montse Gatell
Doctora en Llengua i Literatura Catalanes i Estudis teatrals, el seu àmbit d’estudi és la literatura contemporània, especialment les narratives de la memòria i de la violència contra les dones. És professora de Llengua i literatura catalanes i d’Història a secundària, i professora col·laboradora al Màster d’Humanitats i al Màster de professorat de secundària de la UOC. Maria Lacueva Lorenz
Maria Lacueva Lorenz is a professor in the Department of Arts and Humanities at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), with a degree in Catalan Philology and a doctorate (international mention) in Language and Literature Teaching. She has worked as a researcher and lecturer of Catalan studies at different universities in Germany and France. Her research interests are focused on Gender Studies, Catalan Women Writers Genealogy, initial teacher education and teachers’ continuous development. She is also interested in Foreing Languages and Foreing Cultures Teaching at University. She is a member of the European project Women’s Legacy and of SERCLE.

Aleksandra Malicka
Aleksandra Malicka is associate professor in the Department of Arts and Humanities at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). She coordinates courses in the area of English and applied linguistics and pedagogy. Her research interests include instructed second language acquisition, task-based language teaching, technology-mediated instruction, task-based needs analysis, and research synthesis and meta-analysis. She is currently a member of the state-funded research project “taskGen-2” which seeks to automate the process of designing language learning materials.

Adriana Nicolau
Adriana Nicolau Jiménez is a professor at the Open University of Catalonia. Her research has focused on the study of contemporary Catalan theatre from a feminist and intersectional perspective. Her thesis was awarded the Extraordinary Doctoral Award and an honorary mention in the Josep Carner Prize of the IEC. She has also received the 2024 Crítica Serra d’Or Award in Performing Arts for organizing, with Gemma Pellissa, an international symposium on Catalan female playwrights. She has presented invited talks in the Catalan Countries, the Canary Islands and the United Kingdom and has been a member of the research groups Creation and Thought of Women (UB), LiCMES and GRESOL (UOC). In the field of dissemination, she works as a theatre critic, is part of the editorial board of the theatre magazine Entreacte and is a member of the jury of the Performing Arts Criticism Awards of Catalonia.

Júlia Ojeda
Júlia Ojeda Caba is a substitute professor at the Department of Linguistic, Scientific, and Mathematical Education, Catalan Philology area, at the Faculty of Education of the University of Barcelona, and a future Margalida Comas postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Catalan Philology and General Linguistics at the University of the Balearic Islands. She holds a PhD in Humanities and Communication (2023) from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (International Mention), her research lines are the study of contemporary Catalan narrative, gender studies, and the intersections between critical sociolinguistics and literature. She is a jury member for the Serra d’Or Critics’ Awards and the Òmnium Prize for Best Novel of the Year. She collaborates with various catalan media (Núvol, LaLectora, Revista de Catalunya, Diari Ara, Vilaweb, Tv3, RAC1). She is co-editor of the volume Màtria o Barbàrie. Trenta veus del feminisme català (2024, Angle) and editor of the book La forja dels dies. Aproximacions crítiques a l’obra de Julià de Jòdar (2024, Lleonard Muntaner).

Ana Rosso
Ana Rosso is a lecturer at the Open University of Catalunya, where she coordinates French language and Technology-Mediated Language Teaching and Learning Master’s courses. She completed her PhD at the University of Exeter (UK), where her research focused on a comparative study of the feminist impulses in French realist and naturalist authors and British New Woman writers’ work between 1850 and 1900. Reflecting her academic and professional background, her research interests revolve around two main areas: English and French second-language acquisition, with an emphasis on technology-mediated teaching and learning, and comparative literature and gender studies, more particularly late-nineteenth-century British, French, Italian, and Spanish women writers and fantastic / Gothic literature.

Neus Rotger
Neus Rotger is an associate professor in the Arts and Humanities Department at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). She is the coordinator of the Literature Studies Research Group (GRESOL) and the principal investigator of the Narratives at the Margins of Europe (NAME) project. She holds a PhD in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), with a European mention from the Sorbonne, and has specialized in the study of the novel and cultural memory of Europe from the perspective of critical theory, cultural history and global literary studies. Her latest publications include the book Global Literary Studies: Key Concepts (De Gruyter, 2023, with D. Roig-Sanz) and the special issue Narratives at the Margins of Europe: Comparative Perspectives (Critique, 2024, with A. Vidal-Pérez).

Jordi Serrano-Muñoz
Jordi Serrano-Muñoz specializes in comparative literature, ecocriticism, and transpacific connections. He currently holds the position of Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at Ghent University. He has taught at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, the University of Granada and, El Colegio de México. He has also been Japan Foundation Fellow at Waseda University. His current research lines explore the relationship between literature, the climate crisis, and disasters in contemporary narratives, especially from Japan, Mexico and Australia. He is a member of the research groups GREGAL-UAB, STAND-UGR, and TRAMEVIC-UV. Among his publications associated with the project you can find Literatura i violències masclistes. Nolasc Riba
Nolasc is the multimedia technician for the Resistant Readings project. Develops the sound design of the podcasts and carries out the technical management of the web portal. He has worked on different professional, academic and research projects. From his experience in research work, we highlight The right to housing, awarded in the 3rd Prize for Research in Human Rights (2009), published by the Office for the Promotion of Peace and Human Rights, Generalitat de Catalunya.
